US Navy Blue Angels Fly Over DFW Honoring Frontline Workers
During this pandemic, I’ve had the chance to reflect on a few things and above all, being thankful is one of them. As a photographer, I’ve been blessed with many unforgettable memories and have been able to capture those moments on camera. Yesterday, as the Blue Angels flew through the city, I was able to share that moment with everyone across North Texas. While I’m not a front-line worker, I want to be able to contribute and help our community and here’s how I can.
America Strong. Yes…we are!
During this pandemic, I’ve had the chance to reflect on a few things and above all, being thankful is one of them. I left a career in technology to pursue my passion of storytelling by way of a camera. For nearly the past decade, I’ve shared in many of life’s special moments and milestones with my clients – through their joy, solace and hope.
Our world has abruptly changed in the recent weeks. Amazingly, what has risen above this whirlwind of change is the spirit and strength of COMMUNITY. It is tied in the very walls of each of your homes and it extends throughout North Texas and to lands beyond. We’ve witnessed neighbors coming together to bond in ways that they’ve never done before:
⦁ Families are “Going on a Bear Hunt” during their daily walks.
⦁ Neighbors coming together to help others who are in need or may not have family.
⦁ Neighbors decorating their yards with holiday lights and figurines to add some cheer, everything from Santa Claus to the Easter Bunny.
⦁ Neighbors supporting local restaurants by ordering take-out.
⦁ At 7 PM every night, we’re honoring our front-line heroes with an outdoor applause and cheer.
Like many of you, I was so moved by the special tribute from the US Navy Blue Angels to our DFW front-line and essential workers. The moment reinforces my gratitude and appreciation for all of our local heroes – from healthcare providers to teachers and postal/delivery carriers to our city’s essential workers. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to stay at home safely and take care of our families.
As the Blue Angels flew through the DFW area, I was able to share that moment with everyone across North Texas. To my surprise, I received such an overwhelming amount of feedback, after posting my photos on social media; and many inquiries of how to purchase them. I am so honored!
While I’m not a front-line worker, I have always wanted to be able to contribute and help our community, and this is my chance!

Rupal & Tik's Indian Wedding in Dallas, TX
Incredible wedding for Rupal & Tik - I had so much fun photographing their multi-day Indian Wedding! What an honor to be trusted by a loving couple. They have so many great hobbies together, one of which is to watch Dallas Maverick games together! We started off on Thursday evening with their Sanjeet party and then moved on to the Mehendi and Haldi party on Friday. This is a very emotional celebration with their close family and friends blessing their loved ones about to enter marriage.
And then of course the reception…you can tell how much they love the Dallas teams such as the Mavericks, Cowboyws and Stars when the back of their cake by Bakeology DFW (https://www.bakeologydfw.com/) has all the teams on a layer of cake…clever! I’ve never seen this before and will totally begin to recommend this to my future couples ;)
But of course…after all that hard work…you let loose a little ;)

L&A: Vietnamese Wedding at Zanders, Dallas
Meet Lynda and Anthony - I’ve known her for many years now from back in my days as a club photographer…so for them to ask me to photograph their Vietnamese Wedding in Dallas, I was totally honored and humbled!
Funny story, they actually met at another wedding I had photographed in Richardson a few years back so to see their love life unfold before me was quite the experience - they’re huge football fans so a part of their engagement session was actually at the Frisco Cowboys practice facility.
Anyways, please enjoy the preview of their day and special thanks to my team and to the following vendors!
